Every bit is important. Your suggestion(s) are admirable but, if we're able, we shouldn't stop showing our disagreement/disgust in the streets or anywhere else.
Great article, as usual. However you should dump Bezos/Amazon in protest. Pretend you're Don Quixote and tilt at that windmill! He's turning us into a wasteland of empty stores.
For months I’ve been reading books about Russian history and its politics. As a result, I’ve reached a conclusion about the probable content of the undisclosed Epstein files. I am personally convinced that the president of the United States is a puppet of Vladimir Putin, and it’s quite possible that Epstein was a dupe, as well.
It's been a while since I've commented. (I used to be able to email you.)
Thank you for this article. My husband and I keep have been marching sine the first of his presidential term! After each march or protest, I feel really good , but then like your friend, wonder if it's helping.
We are also trying to stay away from the current administration supporters on the list! It's not easy, but we can try! (Target just sent us a letter saying they missed us. Sorry, but we're staying away!)
Thanks for the great column, as usual, and yes, we'll keep marching onwards...
Protest and protest. No Kings protests and bridge protests are effective. As Minnesota. But yeah. Give up Amazon. Shop at small stores. Don’t buy Teslas. Ride a bike. When you can or walk. Uber? Try Lyft. Carpool. Purposeful inconvenience builds communities that are sustainable without billionaires.
Nick,

I really like this column 💕you’re so honest 👍🏻
I’ve been voting and protest issues for over sixty years but I’ve found it very difficult to unwind from these insidious “helpers” 😝
Maybe we can just minimize our activities with them and turn our resources to spending on the poor and marginalized 😇
Great article, as usual. However you should dump Bezos/Amazon in protest. Pretend you're Don Quixote and tilt at that windmill! He's turning us into a wasteland of empty stores.
Thanks for your writing,
Hank Upton
I stopped using Uber years ago, when, after getting in the car, they refused to take me to my destination and tried charging me anyway. Lyft is great!
If you are not able to protest physically, some of us are also donating to ActBlue as they are supporting protests all across the country.
I know how you feel, but I haven't given up on protest marches, yet.
Bravo!!! Marching matters!!
Every little bit helps. Even if it's just writing about hating the current administration.

Kiss your children and hug your friends and partners. Collapse may be our only way forward.
Thanks for listing these villians...handy dandy as they are...

Thanks Nick.
I will dump Uber and get a LYFT. Your readers might want to check out Scott Galoway's website.
His list of corporations who support Trump friendly enterprises includes many you mentioned and more. The call to unsubscribe is a great idea!
what you are saying is true, we think some things we can do without but all of a sudden you have to use them, or you need a quick delivery return date

Hahahaha . . . most excellent essay . . . SF Lib politics vs convenience . . . Next story : The new Navigation center planned for Presidio Heights !
Very well said Nick! It’s amazing how many have lined up to kiss the ring no matter how much damage he has done and is continuing to do.
Having to order from five plus different stores in the past, with varying delivery charges and delivery wait times, Amazon is irreplaceable!
